Quartz for these coasters formed over millions of years in cavities deep within the earth's surface. It forms when hot magma is pushed up into these cavities and slowly cools over years. Magma causes silicon and oxygen to bind to create this mesmerising crystal. The rose colour is derived from the presence of titanium, an impurity. The crystal mined and hand cut by artisans.
